Essentials of skin anatomy & physiology

Description

A course that takes the therapist through an update of the anatomy & physiology of the skin.  Learning outcomes offer a focus on how cells and systems of skin and supporting system function and interact with each other.  The five topics covered are:

• The internal cell structure
• Stem cells
• What is Keratin and why is it important
• Cells and systems of the epidermis and dermis
• Epidermal structure

Typical course duration: 4.7 hours (including assessments)
